 Provident
promotes and advances education through various means, including,
without limitation, the development, construction, acquisition, ownership,
management, maintenance, operation, and disposition of facilities of
various types, including, but not limited to, educational, research and
student-housing facilities through the provision of development, enrichment,
counseling, tutoring, and other services and activities, so as to assist
colleges and universities in fulfilling their educational mission. Provident
owns and operates 392 student housing beds in Louisiana and another 500
bed student housing facility in Missouri. These activities are included
in the Education Division.
