The Provident Foundation Inc. ("Provident"), d/b/a Provident Group, was founded in 1999 and incorporated September 7, 1999 as a Georgia not-for-profit corporation. Provident is an organization described in Section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended ("Code"), and is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501 (a) of the Code. Provident has continued at all times since the date of its organization to operate in such a manner as to constitute an organization described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Code. Provident's tax status as an organization described in Section 501 (c) (3) of the Code has not been modified, limited or revoked.

Mission Focused Activities 

Provident pursues a broad range of charitable activities and programs that serves to (1) promote quality healthcare; (2) advance education; (3) meet the special needs of the elderly; (4) provide safe, decent and affordable housing to low-income families; (5) lessen the burdens of government; and (6) protect the environment. Provident pursues its missions while promoting the physical, emotional and mental health and social well-being of the individuals, families and communities it serves. Finally, Provident seeks to serve all of the communities in which it pursues its mission by assisting in lessening the burdens of state and local governments in any and all manners that constitute an authorized charitable activity under Section 501(c)(3) of the code.

In the pursuit of its charitable mission, it is Provident's goal to become a national not-for-profit organization committed to the development, ownership and operation of (1) acute healthcare and related facilities and services, (2) student housing facilities and education administration offices, (3) senior living facilities and communities and supportive services across the country, and (4) comfortable, affordable low and moderate income housing communities. Furthermore, Provident will actively strive to assist state and local governments in lessening the burdens they face in providing many needed services to their citizens. Provident will provide the highest level of professional management services while implementing creative financing structures to lower the cost of capital in pursuing its mission based business activities. We firmly believe this approach will serve to fulfill Provident's mission while enhancing the quality of all the services within Provident's facilities and communities and further enhance the value of each facility within the communities Provident serves.
