Nancy Henze received an A.B from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York and a Masters in Business Administration in Finance from the New York University Stern School of Business in New York.
Between 1978 and 1996, Ms. Henze was a successful investment banker specializing in Public Finance, Corporate Finance and Federal Finance with several major Wall Street firms, including Dillon, Read and Company Inc. (1978-1982); Shearson Lehman Brothers Inc. (1982-1990) and M. R. Beal and Company. From March of 2005 to January of 2007, Ms. Henze served as the Executive Director of the New York State Commission on Public Authority Reform. Then, on December 31, 2008, Ms. Henze retired as the Executive Director of the Municipal Assistance Corporation for the City of New York where, during her 10 year tenure, she was responsible for the oversight and management of more than $2 billion in municipal debt and all financial, legal and administrative functions of the Corporation.
